Progress was established in the summer of 2012 in Manchester, England. Deeply connected to its roots, the brand draws significant inspiration from Manchester's rich culture and history for its designs.
Founded by James Tighe, then a blue belt, alongside close friends and family—many of whom remain part of the company a decade later—the brand was born out of a shared passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Their love for the sport fueled a dream: to leave their jobs and dedicate themselves fully to the brand, contributing to the growth of the Jiu Jitsu community. Over time, this dream became their ultimate goal.
